Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
ShareSafeAI (“we”, “us”) operates sharesafeai.com. This policy explains what we store when you use our free sharing tools and how long that information lasts.
What we collect
When you create a share, we store the content you submit (text, an encrypted password, file metadata, or contact-card fields) plus a random token, timestamps, and an expiry time. We do not ask you to create an account. Server logs may include IP address, browser type, and the page requested. These are typical hosting logs used for security and abuse prevention.
If you use the contact form, we store your name, email, subject, and message so we can reply.
How long we keep shares
Share links are temporary. one time notes and passwords are removed after the first successful view or when they expire. Files and images are deleted after their expiry window by a scheduled cleanup script. Do not use ShareSafeAI as a backup. If a recipient needs a permanent copy, they should save it themselves.
Cookies and ads
We use a first-party setting in localStorage for the light and dark theme. We also use a session cookie for CSRF protection on forms. If Google AdSense or similar advertising is enabled later, third-party cookies and advertising identifiers may be used to show and measure ads. You can learn more in Google’s advertising privacy materials and use browser controls or opt-out tools provided by ad networks.
Files and images
Uploaded files are stored on the server with random names. The Image Privacy tool re-saves images to strip EXIF/location metadata before sharing. We do not sell the contents of uploads. Please do not upload illegal material or files you do not have the right to share.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal information. Hosting, DNS, and (if enabled) advertising partners process data as needed to run the website. We may disclose information if required by law or to prevent abuse of the service.
Your choices
Anyone with the unique link can open a share until it expires or is consumed. Treat the link like the secret itself. To request deletion of a contact-form message, email us from the address you used on the form via the Contact page.
